I received my undergraduate degree in psychology (Bachelor of Science with Honours) at Memorial University in St. John's, NL, and my graduate degree in clinical psychology (Doctorate of Philosophy) at Dalhousie University in Halifax, NS.  Various training and work opportunities brought me to New York, New Mexico, British Columbia and, in 2011, back to my roots here in Newfoundland and Labrador.

I have worked in a variety of settings over the last 20 years, with almost all of those settings involving multidisciplinary teams in the public sector.  Although the majority of my work has been with children, adolescents and parents on an outpatient basis, I had an opportunity in 2023 to provide therapy to individual adults in the public sector.  That experience inspired me to branch out into the private sector on a part-time basis so that I can pursue my favourite areas of clinical practice across a range of client ages.
